John Rudkin is an Apple Distinguished Educator, a teacher, a designer, and has been working with education and ICT for over 20 years. A Design Educator, his teaching and management expertise was honed in studios, workshops, offices, in a few schools and with incrementally bigger teams.
Subsequently he acted as an Adviser for Lancashire (helping deliver the National Curriculum). Later, as Head of Education Marketing and as Strategic Project Manager at Apple, John managed the training of over 10,000 teachers in Scotland, bring projects worth £m to successful fruition and has been instrumental in helping establish programmes such as the ADE and Learning Interchange working with an international team. He won Apple’s prestigious “Golden Apple” award twice.
Until recently a trustee at the Inclusion Trust, John has championed disadvantaged learners, and he has a long association with the third sector, and especially the visually impaired population of Blackpool. Fylde and Wyre, being instrumental in bringing their Talking New services into the 21st century and raising over £200k in various projects.

His local focus in the Northwest has seen him work alongside many schools, leading ICT initiatives under Building Schools of the Future, and launching portals that successfully brought communities of learners together in Blackpool.
John is a member of NAACE, a member of the Federation of Small Businesses, a member of SOCITM
